Greetings!
Hi Y'all,
My name is Brendan O'Neill and I am excited to start a new school year as a Makerspace Fellow. I started out as a volunteer for the Makerspace and now I work as a Fellow at Marshall Math and Science. Last year at Downey Elementary I got to work with a few great programs including; Rokenbok Engineering, Trout in the Classroom and NBA Math Hoops.
I am really excited to learn more about the technical aspects of the maker movement in the coming school year while helping teachers engage students in a fun way that will prepare them for the technical aspects of the 21st century.
I am really hopeful for MIT"s App Inventor to help our students get excited about Computer Science.
In addition to being a Maker Fellow I also fix up houses in Midtown Harrisburg. Which is pretty much a giant arts and crafts project that I learned how to do through YouTube. Which I think is a cool example of how information in all things making will be broadly distributed in the coming decades.
