January to Remember

January was definitely one to remember in that it featured a ton of successful Making being done by Harrisburg's talented children. The Future City team competed and won an award for "Most innovative Food Production System. The STEM club designed and built a large portion of their Raspberry Pi based arcade games. Plenty of kids got a taste of 21st century STEM education, including this gentlemen above who is learning about electricity with a Makey Makey, during the Parent Lighthouse meetings at Downey Elementary, to name a couple of our projects.

For as good as January was, February will bring a lot to Harrisburg's children. Our trout will continue to grow just as our students do. And the warmer weather will allow dozens projects to be conducted outside including self made, self published Augmented Reality games.
