School In 21st Century
I talked to my dad about how he uses technology and he says that his biggest use for technology is still for work. However, he said that a second use for technology would be to stay informed with the news. Lastly, he said he also uses technology to connect to others, but not the same way my generation (millennial) does it . He said that he uses technology to have initial contact with someone to lead into a more personal conversation face to face. For our generation, if we have a question we would go ahead and asks it in a text. But what my dad is say he would do is ask someone if they have a minute to get together and as them in person or on a call.
Technology I constantly changing and that is also true for schools. I just got out of college and it was too long ago that I was in primary school. But there has been many changes to in schools since then.
Traditional education has to catch up to the changes that are happening around us. There is a new movement for 21st century learning that does not look like traditional education. P21 made a framework for what 21st century learning looks like today, "21st Century Learning was developed with input from teachers, education experts, and business leaders to define and illustrate the skills and knowledge students need to succeed in work, life and citizenship, as well as the support systems necessary for 21st century learning outcomes. It has been used by thousands of educators and hundreds of schools in the U.S. and abroad to put 21st century skills at the center of learning."
