Biotic and Abiotic Factors of a Specific Biome
Ben Franklin Elementary School has been overrun by lions, monkeys, whales and sharks as students learn about the relationship of biotic and abiotic factors of different biomes. Students from every class helped decorate the halls with art and fascinating facts about animals in a biome that was chosen by what class they were in. There were tropical rain forests, oceans and deserts all in a single hallway. The students then chose a specific animal in the biome to write a research paper on.
During their english class the students would learn the steps of writing a research paper. First you have to pick a topic. Most students picked their favorite animal that live in the biome. Then they had to come up with a research question. With their research question in mind they had to start to find resources for their paper. They would do this portion of their project during science class. Then they could begin outlining their paper. Next came writing and citing. The last step is writing their final draft. After the papers were written the students read their papers to the class.
